Silence, water, wilderness

Thank you, Amy and Dave Freeman, for your wild adventure and for speaking up loudly for this quiet place.

Jackson’s gift delights me. I loved this book. Good grief, the woman can write and tell a story like nobody’s business. I wonder what her teachers thought of her abilities when she was in elementary school. Former teacher here, just wondering. I hope she keeps writing. Such a joy to read her work.

Smiling every which way

My front porch is perfect for reading.

For sleeping.

For thinking.

Recently finished The Marriage of Opposites while lying, nearly flat, on my chaise lounge.

I have to say it’s delightful there.

Water wisdom

yep

I love everything she writes.

Pretty grim at first. Wasn’t sure I’d finish. Very well-written, of course; that wasn’t the problem. Stuck with it and was impressed with the slow evolution of main character’s heart and spirit. Very touching story, beautifully told.
