Scorsese scores

The Wolf of Wall Street: Well, much gnashing of teeth over this one. Lots of foul language and naked women. Tough to sift through all that to the kernel, which is, I think, this: when you’ve access to a lot of money, you face a lot of temptation. If you fall to the temptation, you’ve a good chance of becoming a hedonistic narcissist. I thought Scorsese could only have driven home his points in exactly the way he did, which redeemed the film for me. The downside of human nature is the protagonist.

And, anyway, I loved watching DiCaprio and Hill. Made the movie enjoyable for me, regardless of my distaste for depravity.
