What it means

Prayer is as helpful to the pray-er as it is to the person(s) prayed for, I’m convinced. C.S. Lewis writes with distinction and heart about prayer. So, I’m including a link to something he says about it.

I suppose I include it here because, in fact, many people I know are going through some really tough times right now. It’s a weird, cosmic arrangement that has them all struggling at once.

I like the Catholic approach to education, health care — and prayer. In general, that is. Edith Stein, Mother Teresa — and C.S. Lewis come to mind.

  1. Prayer is a powerful source of peace. I think it’s a little like Poetry. And I believe Prayer does help those who believe in it.
Your posting Grit was wonderful (as usual) and sad.
